Loved your place and appreciated all the thoughtful and generous extras, down to a soda stream and coffee maker, not to mention sunscreen, insect repellent, masks, hand steriliser, and lots of goodies in the fridge. Pièce de résistance was the home-baked sourdough loaf which was still warm. We also had a daily morning visitor.... A rock Wallaby. Very happy, loved it and thoroughly enjoyed Cooktown... Hope to be back.

The house has a wonderful location for watching the sunset from the front deck and is very close to the main street and the James Cook Museum. It is well equipped with most of the things you need when travelling. We especially appreciated the welcome from the host including a loaf of warm freshly baked bread.

Awesome! We had a wonderful stay and Ella was an excellent host. The food, coffee, clean house and beautiful views were outstanding. We loved the location - walking distance to so many things, and great recommendations on family spots to visit nearby. Our family of 5 enjoyed our time here, we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The laundry, WiFi, TV and appliances were great and everything worked well. Would love to visit again!

Everything was great! Perfect position within walking distance to the town, restaurants, shops, attractions and the river and sea. So well equipped with everything you need and more! The owners obviously take pride in this house and want guests to feel welcome and comfortable. Little surprises everywhere. Lovely outdoor areas and able to sit on the front deck and see the sea/river/boats. Just perfect for our stay with 4 adults.

Everything. The welcome, the location, the facilities and the extra touches like milk, the amazing bread and that everything we needed was on hand: oil, salt, detergent etc, just awesome.

Spotlessly clean and great value. We were 2 couples. House contained 2 queen beds and 2 bathrooms. Essentials supplied included, fruit, milk eggs and a fresh home made loaf of bread from the host. Great toiletries. Place was comfortable with quality fittings and linen. One street back from centre of town, cafes and restaurants. Not one annoying note in the whole place. Thank you! Met the local wallaby in the garden by the deck. Would love to come back and spend time reading from your extensive library

The house was well equipped- everything that you need- washing powder, toiletries, kitchen staples, eggs, even home made bread and chocolates. A very homely feel and the hostess was lovely.

Excellent location close to town. Great views. Comfortable furnishings. Lots of extras. Towels and linen good quality. We were also baked lovely loaf of bread.

It had everything we needed plenty of room lovely view. Walking distance to the Main Street and interest spots. The Owner greeted us with friendliness and helpfulness. I would recommend this property and use it again.
